LA Clipper Tickets

Demand for Los Angeles Clippers Tickets just increased heavily thanks to the team agreeing in principle to a deal with free agent point guard Baron Davis. The Clips will reportedly pay the 29-year-old approximately $65 million over the next five years. Davis opted out of his contract with the Golden State Warriors in order to make the move to his hometown of Los Angeles. Davis grew up in the L.A. area and was a standout for UCLA in his collegiate days.
Davis should immediately make the Clippers a contender in the Western Conference. His signing should also encourage free agent Elton Brand to resign with the club. Brand has already expressed his interest in remaining a Clipper, but he did note his desire to play with other big-time players. In this case, Davis sure fits the bill. The third pick in the 1999 draft, Davis spent his first few seasons plagued by injury and looked to be headed towards being another "what if" type of player.
Davis found new life in Golden State though. He quickly became a fan favorite and had some phenomenal years with the club. Davis averaged 21 points, nearly eight assists and almost five rebounds per game last season. He also stole the ball more than two times per contest. He's one of the top point guards in the league and fills a big hole in the Clippers' roster. He's the kind of player that people will buy Los Angeles Clippers Tickets to see. The devastating injury suffered by Shaun Livingston, the Clippers' lottery pick on 2004, left no true point guard on the Clippers roster, until now.
Alongside rookie guard Eric Gordon, Davis should become part of one of the more dangerous backcourt tandems in the west. With Brand and Chris Kaman down low and budding star Al Thorton at the three, this team could be a force. Davis can give the club the kind of leadership that a mild-mannered player like Brand may not necessarily be able to provide. Davis is a well-respected player around the league and should serve as a good role model for the team's younger players.
The Clippers may never win a championship with Baron Davis, but it certainly makes them relevant again in a city that tends to focus mainly on the Lakers. Davis still has a lot of good years left and proved he's not a high injury risk anymore by playing in all 82 games this past season. No matter what happens, Davis is sure to sell quite a few Los Angeles Clipper Tickets.
